CAES Director of Human Resources Mary-Beth DePaolo won the prestigious title of Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year, an award that recognizes achievement in the profession within the local community. Mary-Beth was selected as the winner in the Large Business category. The award, given jointly by several area chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management, was presented during a ceremony on May 16 in Philadelphia.
“This award is a true honor and I am so grateful. My fellow nominees are tremendous HR professionals. I’m humbled to have been considered and chosen,” said Mary-Beth DePaolo. “Thank you to Debra West, for nominating me, and for the opportunity to celebrate the HR profession for its contributions to business success.”
Mary-Beth is a key part of the CAES human resources team. She effectively manages projects, mentors staff, and inspires others to strive for success. With a keen sense of organizational dynamics, Mary-Beth has helped to streamline the recruitment process at CAES as well as guide her team through organizational changes, including the acquisition of three businesses.
Not only has Mary-Beth contributed to business objectives, but she also works to create a supportive environment for her colleagues. CAES recently established a new employee resource group (ERG) that Mary-Beth was integral to launching. This ERG builds an inclusive community and encourages women in CAES’ workforce. She has also worked to support employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve Forces through flexible work schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, and leaves of absence if needed.
“Mary-Beth embodies the qualities of an exceptional HR professional,” said Clayton McClain, CAES vice president and general manager of the company’s Lansdale, Pennsylvania, facility. “She consistently goes above and beyond, contributing to our organization’s success.”
The Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Award was developed in 2001 to celebrate the human resources industry and to recognize those in the HR profession who exemplify outstanding achievement in the Delaware Valley area.
Congratulations to Mary-Beth on this achievement.
