LEON 3FT 32-bit SPARC™ Microprocessor

Based on the industry-standard SPARC V8 architecture, the UT699 32-bit Fault Tolerant microprocessor is a system-on-chip and is part of the LEON product family that has a long lineage in the space industry.

The UT699 is a pipelined monolithic, high-performance, fault-tolerant microprocessor targeted for applications such as:

  • Spacecraft on-board computers
  • Payload processing
  • Nuclear power plant controllers
  • Critical transportation systems
  • High-altitude avionics
  • Medical electronics 
  • X-ray cargo scanning.

The UT699 is SPARC V8 compliant so developers may use industry standard compilers, kernels and development tools. A full software development suite is available.

CAES' comprehensive software ecosystem includes Bare-C and RTEMS toolchain, Linux, VxWorks, and Zephyr operating system support, TSIM2/3 simulators, GRMON3 debugger, boot loaders and hypervisor support for rapid development support. Template designs are available and portable between technologies. Used to create SoC designs based around the microprocessor core, the LEON and NOEL-V processor models are integrated in the GRLIB IP library.
