Overview

CAES specializes in digital hardware design for commercial and aerospace applications. Our processing solutions are ideal for spacecraft on-board computers, payload processing, nuclear power plant controllers, critical transportation systems, high-altitude avionics, medical electronics and X-ray cargo scanning.

 

CAES provides IP cores for embedded processors based on the SPARC V8 and RISC-V architecture as well as microprocessor and microcontroller solutions.

Based on the SPARC V8 architecture, CAES’ LEON microprocessors have a long space lineage and are highly configurable and suitable for system-on-chip (SoC) designs.  The NOEL-V processor is the basis of our family of RISC-V based processors that complement the LEON product line targeted for modern processing solutions.  Designed to be freely extensible and customizable to fit any market niche, the RISC-V architecture has industry-wide adoption.

Our comprehensive software ecosystem includes Bare-C and RTEMS toolchain, Linux, VxWorks, and Zephyr operating system support, TSIM2/3 simulators, GRMON3 debugger, boot loaders and hypervisor support for rapid development support.  Template designs are available and portable between technologies.  Used to create SoC designs based around the microprocessor core, the LEON and NOEL-V processor models are integrated in the GRLIB IP library.
