CAES has a long and distinguished history of designing and manufacturing RF components, modules, integrated assemblies and subsystems for space travel. Our RF capabilities have enabled many notable space applications including space-based radar, commercial satellites, Space Shuttle docking radar, advanced ground mapping systems as well as the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter program and the NASA Mars Exploration mission.
Our proven design and manufacturing processes yield high-performance, radiation-hardened, high-reliability RF devices that are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of space.
In addition to a full suite of RadHard-by-Design solutions, the CAES RF for space portfolio includes a variety of microwave and mmW filters, waveguides, antennas, cable assemblies, rotary joints, amplifiers, converters, filters, switches, muxes and mixers. This enables our engineers to design complete, modular RF devices at our 106,000 square foot design and manufacturing facility, which is dedicated to RF microwave components and subsystems.
All assembly and RF testing is performed in controlled access rooms by highly trained engineers. As a result of our dedication to quality, CAES is certified to ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 Revision B and in accordance with AS9104A.
