CAES offers Single Board Computers (SBCs) optimized for command and control and payload mission processing applications. CAES offers high-performance, low power, and radiation hardened SBCs based on our internally-developed LEON family of microprocessors using the SPARC® V8 processor core.
Our SBCs come in a variety of form-factors and include extensive high-performance memory for code execution as well as non-volatile memories for boot image and data storage. System interface options are based on custom as well as standard Compact PCI (cPCI) or SpaceVPX/OpenVPX interfaces using standardized connectors.
All missions are unique. CAES SBCs come with a Software Development Kit to fully customize the embedded application software to suit specific mission requirements. A variety of peripheral expansion ports that include Controller Area Network (CAN), SpaceWire, and MIL-STD-1553 are available to enable the integration of supporting systems and devices. Additionally, Ethernet, Serial DSU, SpaceWire and UART interfaces are available to aid in the development, testing, and management of your system.
